She left this morning, to go to Ohio State University.....and won't be back in Seattle until December.
I'll prolly get to see her briefly in October, and again at Thanksgiving -- I think I'll be going down to San Francisco while we both meet up with a mutual friend for turkey day.
The only thing I have to remind me of her here is a room full of clothes that would have made her bags overweight, and a "promise" ring that makes me look married =P.....can't wait for the "eyes on" during church next, next week (I have drill this weekend).
Anyways, time to sleep.....I was helping her pack last night until it was almost time to wake up again =P.

| ....yeah, talking about the military law that bans gays in the military. I just saw some debate on TV earlier today (like, a real debate, with old people)-- anyways, I just "sorta accepted" it in the past (didn't really think it did much harm before), but now I really think that law should really be taken out---times are different now, things change, like how there aren't all black units in the military anymore.
What I learned today was the fear that gay Soldiers live in, if anyone finds out they are gay---then they can be fired.
In fact, I know there was a girl in ROTC who got kicked out because there was a college party picture of her kissing another girl....and I don't think she was gay.
Not only that....the ones trying to keep the law were pretty lame; they'd be bumbling over words, talking in circles, and not really making good points---just speaking to "what ifs;" whereas the ones speaking against the law were eloquent and made a lot of sense.
I guess I blogged this today because I don't really watch these types of debates often.....actually I accidentally turned to the channel (which was hard to do, cause I have the cable box guide), but it caught my eyes/ears and I believe this is an important topic, esp cause I have Soldiers under me now.
